Caloundra South & New Estates
I live in Nirimba, so Baringa, Caloundra West and Palmview are on my doorstep. Newer homes still have problems: builder-installed hot water units failing early, pressure limiting valves wearing out, low water pressure and fixtures that were never quite right from handover.
Caloundra, Pelican Waters & the Southern Beaches
Older homes in Caloundra, Moffat Beach and Currimundi often have original copper and terracotta pipework, with root intrusion and corroded fittings. Canal homes in Pelican Waters deal with high water tables and drainage that needs to suit the setting.
Kawana, Mooloolaba & the Beachfront
Salt air is the big one in Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland, Buddina and Wurtulla. Outdoor taps, hot water tanks and exposed pipework corrode far faster than inland. Unit blocks and holiday rentals here also mean shared drains, body corporate rules and tenants who need things fixed quickly.
Maroochydore, Buderim & Nambour

How much does a plumber cost on the Sunshine Coast?
I give you a clear price before I start. As a guide, blocked drain clearing starts from $210, hot water repairs from $165, and a standard 250L electric hot water replacement is installed from $2,400 including valves, electrical reconnection and removal of the old system. Gas fitting starts from $190. Where I can't price a job until I find the problem, I charge $165 per hour inc GST during business hours, with a 1-hour minimum plus parts.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
Hot water quotes are free, and most jobs get a fixed price upfront. Outside business hours, or if I need to rearrange booked work to get to you, a call-out fee applies depending on the time and day. I'll always tell you exactly what it is before I come out.
My hot water has stopped working. Can you replace it today?

How quickly can you get to an urgent plumbing job?
For genuine urgent jobs like burst pipes, gas leaks and fully blocked drains, I prioritise your call and get there as quickly as I can, often the same day. Call me directly and I'll tell you honestly when I can be there.
What causes blocked drains on the Sunshine Coast?
The most common causes I see are tree roots in older clay sewer lines, sand and silt getting into drains near the coast, and grease or wipes in kitchen and toilet lines. I use a RIDGID K-60 machine and a CCTV drain camera to find and clear the exact cause, and arrange high-pressure jetting when it's required.
Are you a licensed plumber and gas fitter?
Yes. I hold a QBCC licence for plumbing and gas fitting (licence 15559043) and carry public liability insurance on every job. All gas work is certified to AS/NZS 5601. You can check my licence on the QBCC website.
What should I do if I smell gas?
Turn off the gas at the meter if it's safe to do so, open doors and windows, don't use switches or naked flames, and get everyone outside. Then call your gas supplier's emergency line, or 000 if there's immediate danger. Once it's safe, call me to find and repair the leak.
Do you work with property managers and landlords?
Yes, rental and investment property maintenance is a big part of my work. I deal directly with tenants to arrange access and provide clear job reports, photos and invoices that suit property management records.
