My hot water has stopped working. How quickly can you help?
Hot water failures are a priority, and being close by means I can often get there the same day. Call me for a straight answer on timing. Most replacements are done in a single visit, and hot water quotes are always free.
Do older Caloundra homes have particular plumbing problems?
Yes. Homes from before the 1990s often still have galvanised water pipes that rust from the inside, and clay sewer lines that let tree roots in. Near the beach, salt air corrodes outdoor taps, exposed copper and hot water tanks, and homes on higher ground can have high water pressure that wears out fixtures. If your home is 20+ years old, it's worth getting small problems checked before they become big ones.
Should I replace my old galvanised pipes?
If you have low pressure, discoloured water or repeated pinhole leaks, the pipes are usually near the end of their life and patching them only buys time. I'll check them, tell you honestly whether a repair will do or replacement is the better long-term option, and give you a fixed price either way.
Why does my drain keep blocking?
In older Caloundra homes the most common cause is tree roots in clay sewer pipes, and near the beach it's often sand and silt in stormwater lines. Grease and wipes don't help either. If a drain keeps blocking, a CCTV camera inspection shows exactly what's going on so the fix actually lasts.
